【On time】
punctual, not late. If something happens on time, it happens at the time that was planned.
遅刻ではなく、時間を守ること。時間通りに何かが起こるなら、それは予定された時間に起こるのです。
※punctual（時間を厳守する）

➡ The 11.45 train left on time. (= it left at 11.45)
11時45分の列車は定刻に発車した。

➡ 'I'll meet you at 7.30.' 'OK, but please be on time.' (= don't be late, be there at 7.30)
「7時半に待ち合わせましょう。」「わかりました、でも時間通りにお願いします。」

➡ The conference was well-organised. Everything began and finished on time.
会議は上手くまとまりました。すべてが時間通りに始まり、時間通りに終わった。
※organized は「組織された」「整理された」という意味。well-organized は「よく組織された」「うまくまとまった」などの意味です。

The opposite of on time is late.
➡ Be on time. Don't be late.

【In time】
In time for something / to do something = soon enough
何かのために／何かをするために＝そろそろ

➡ Will you be home in time for dinner?
夕食に間に合うように帰って来れますか？

➡ I've sent Tracey a birthday present. I hope it arrive in time (for her birthday).
トレイシーに誕生日プレゼントを送りました。間に合うといいんだけど。

➡ I'm in a hurry. I want to get home in time to see the game on TV. (= soon enough to see the game)
急いでるんだ。テレビで試合を見るのに間に合わせたいんだ。(もうすぐ試合が見られる)

The opposite of in time is too late.
➡ I got home too late to see the game on TV.
帰宅が遅かったので、テレビで試合を見ることができませんでした。

You can say just in time. (= almost too late)
➡ We got to the station just in time for our train.
駅に着いたら、ちょうど電車の時間だった。

➡ A child ran into the road in front of the car ー I managed to stop just in time.
子どもが車の前の道路に飛び出したー私は何とかギリギリで止めました。
